Commonly found problems

One possible electrical danger is a
double-tapped circuit breaker, shown at left.

Another quite common electrical problem is
improperly terminated wiring, often found in a crawl space, basement or attic.

A vertical foundation crack may or may not be a serious problem, depending on
the width of the crack and the deflection in the block on either side.

From above, this is a beautiful deck, but from
this vantage point we discover missing joist hangers, which could make this deck
deadly.

Without the proper equipment, no one could tell
if this is an ongoing leak or one that has been repaired. Using our moisture
meter to test this stain, we can determine if you have a problem.

This collar tie, which is a key structural element of a roof, is obviously
bowed. This could be quite an expensive repair for a new homebuyer if this is
not found prior to closing.

This is a common example of an improper
plumbing connection. Joining galvanized steel to copper pipe without using a
dielectric union between the two will eventually cause corrosion and an
expensive leak.
